Time Bomb acquires license to cult comic series ‘Harker’!

Crime comic Harker has a long history: first self-published by Ariel Comics in individual issues and then later part-reprinted by Titan Comics, it’s been ten years since the award-winning comic by writer Roger Gibson (Torchwood, Gravestown, Mad Girl) and artist Vincent Danks (Doctor Who Magazine, Red Dwarf Magazine) last appeared.

We at Time Bomb are delighted to announce that Gibson & Danks are reviving the series here. We are re-publishing the first two Harker graphic novels (The Book of Solomon and The Black Hound) in full colour across four volumes and then continuing the series with brand new adventures in at least two further volumes.

Harker: The Book of Solomon – Part One collects the first half of The Book of Solomon. It’s a wittily crafted homage to classic television detective series such as Columbo, Morse and CSI, which follows the homicide investigations of Detective Chief Inspector Harker and his assistant, DS Critchley.

Harker writer Roger Gibson said:  “It’s a huge opportunity for us – Time Bomb Publisher Steve Tanner recommissioned the series and also asked if we’d like to create some new ones. Vince and I jumped at the chance – Time Bomb has a terrific success rate on Kickstarter and is growing in prominence as a successful publisher, and it gives us the editorial freedom to produce the kind of quality comics that we know readers enjoy. We hope to introduce Harker to both new fans and old alike, filled with that usual mix of amazing, detailed art by Vince and sharp, funny storytelling by me. We’re starting with the Blu-Ray director’s cut of the first two Harker books, in full colour for the first time, with lots more brand new exciting, amusing and highly dangerous adventures to follow!”

We’ll be launching the Kickstarter to fund Harker: Book One on the 1st of August 2020. Click through here to see the page and sign up for updates.
